The Honorable Senator Barbara Boxer, the Committee on Envionment and Public Works, and the Staff
Thank you fo scheduling a hearing on sewage sludge. I do no think sewage sludge should be used as an agricultural fertilizer because of the health complaints that I know about in Virginia. It is purported by the sludge industry to be too expensive for them to test the constitutients of their sludge. Without that information, we cannot find out what harmful material is contained in this "sewage sludge free fertilizer" that contaminates our food chain, spoils the land and makes our citizens sick.
